The SunnysignREM software requests a configuration directory that is by default in the user profile. In some cases, the system administrator is forced to clean up user profiles, which involves a loss of SunnysignREM / Sunnysign configuration
1 - Introduction
This documentation has been designed to automate the restoration of configurations that have been made beforehand, when they disappear after a deletion of the directory .lexpersona
2 - Presentation
The .lexpersona directory which is usually located in the user directory (%userprofile% on Windows) which contains all SunnysignREM / Sunnysign application configurations, and also for other Lex Persona products.
When starting the application, if the directory (.lexpersona) is not present, it will be generated from the archive .lexpersona.zip found in the installation directory of the Lex Persona product.
3 - Setting up the backup
First, after installing the Lex Persona product (SunnysignREM, LP7ProcessSigner, etc ...) configure it at your convenience (digital identity license statement, processing directories etc.).
Once the application is configured according to user expectations, go to the directory that is by default in %userprofile%\.Lexpersona.
Select all the directories there and then add them to a ZIP archive, to be named ".lexpersona.zip"
Full backup of your configuration is now performed
4 - Setting up the automatic restoration
In some cases, the .lexpersona directory is deleted, it is possible to make this removal invisible for the end user, who otherwise would be forced to redo the entire configuration of the application.
To implement this solution, simply take the previously generated .lexpersona.zip file in the user directory to replace the .lexpersona folder in the installation directory.
The manipulation is now complete, if the application does not detect .lexpersona in the directory that is by default in the user directory (%userprofile%\.Lexpersona), it will uncompress the one present in its installation directory to place it in the user directory
